  1. All fine, and with all due respect to your comment …. but …. “quite frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”. I really don’t care what every other pundit or news rag has to say about it. Each story has a new tag on “it”, and it’s all BS. Nothing about football. Nothing about recruiting. Nothing about coaching. All about some storyline of who and how and why money runs the game. I guess that is what has become of college football.
  2. For me, NIL was the beginning of the end, or more realistically the end of the beginning. But I’ll wait and see if more kids like the new 5* QB we just got select based on “school first” rather than money deals. Too many options tossed around in what might/could/will be west coast football for me to pay much attention right now. Agree on the Georgia game being front and center. I’m both excited and anxious to get the season started. LET’S GO DUCKS !!
  3. And on another note while we spin the conference wheel of fortune blindfolded, it seems Lanning & Co. continue to recruit. 5* QB for 2023 New Oregon QB commit Dante Moore declined NIL meetings, focused on other things in recruitment https://www.oregonlive.com/highschoolsports/2022/07/new-oregon-qb-commit-dante-moore-declined-nil-meetings-focused-on-other-things-in-recruitment.html
  4. Try being a fan from 1975. Money truly is the root of all evil.
  5. Not enough Pepto on a palette at Costco for me. Just stinks of bs. Hate it all. Maybe my Saturdays just freed up in 2024. I wonder if I can make tee times that far out.
  6. Complete agreement. Tired of money buying everything. There simply is no allegiance anymore. Doesn’t matter where you go to school, but a shirt / team / conference and you’re a fan. Sad.
  7. Pac-12 on the brink: USC and UCLA expected to seek membership in the Big Ten https://www.oregonlive.com/collegefootball/2022/06/pac-12-on-the-brink-usc-and-ucla-expected-to-seek-membership-in-the-big-ten.html
  8. I’ve had my differences with Pres Schill before, but agree on this one. Whether good or bad for athletes is debatable, I still contend the NIL is an unmitigated mess for college football. UO president Michael Schill: NCAA’s NIL guidance ‘hopelessly vague’ https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2022/05/uo-president-michael-schill-ncaas-nil-guidance-hopelessly-vague.html
  9. Had a few moments of free time and fell upon this reprise of the 2013 season and 81 touchdowns. I’ll say that again for emphasis- 81 TD’s. A nice reminder of days when our offense was nitro glycerin and every play felt like it could be a scoring opportunity. Especially impressive when only a handful of TD’s were from inside the 5. After watching this, I hate Cristobal’s tenure even more. He ground an explosive offensive approach into the ground even further than Helfraud did. This should be required watching for all coaches and players. https://youtu.be/qHHcYBY0quk
  10. One more spike in the coffin for college football.
  11. Don’t know anything about this guy, but we just added another 4* receiver. Kyler Kasper, 4-star receiver reclassifying to class of 2022, signs with Oregon Ducks https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2022/04/kyler-kasper-4-star-2023-receiver-commits-to-oregon-ducks.html
  12. Not sure how that has anything to do with my comment, but fyi, I stopped winning/losing in competitive sports decades before participation trophies were invented.
  13. Get me your address please and I’ll send you some Wildcat gear.
  14. DS, you would make a Birdie score feel ashamed it wasn’t an Eagle.
